The end of the summer season in the Grand Traverse area sees as mass exit of seasonal tourists, only to welcome the return of the folks who truly enjoy the beauty of some of the most scenic country in the nation. Timber Ridge welcomes these guests to enjoy this season's fall colors...along with a sampling of some of Michigan's most delicious reds, golds, and browns of the Microbrew Color Tour.

The Microbrew Color Tour offers guests (package or public) unlimited tastes of craft beers from some of Michigan's most "crafty" brewers. The Microbrew "Color Tour" Package, two nights starting Friday, September 25, features a welcome reception (with Mt. Pleasant Brewing Company beer) at check in on Friday and unlimited beer sampling on Saturday. With your package, enjoy unlimited sampling of handcrafted brews from:

• Bellaire's Short's Brewing Company
• Traverse City's Right Brain Brewery
• Tri-City Brewing Company in Bay City
• Three Sergeants from Traverse City
• A limited sampling of Miller Lite, for those guests who prefer a more familiar brew

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: The public is welcome to join our park guests from 6:00 to 10:00 PM on Saturday for a fee of $25 per person. (Package guests will have a private tasting from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.)

My Trivia Live, an exciting, interactive team-style trivia game (usually found in bars in Metro Detroit), will be traveling up to TC to add to the beer tasting fun on Saturday with its highly sought-after team play. All of this goes down in both the Timber Ridge banquet hall (a wonderful back up in case Mother Nature is having a bad day) and outdoor tent directly adjacent (if she smiles upon us).

For those who like to read in bullets, the info on the microbrew weekend is below:

• Packages include the Friday night welcome reception beginning at 5:00 during check-in until supplies are diminished (you'll receive tasting tickets) and unlimited beer tasting at the Microbrew Color Tour Tent on Saturday from 5:00 till 10:00 PM (private tastings for guests from 5:00 to 6:00; open to public at 6:00)
• Packages are based on 2 people; $35 per additional microbrew tasting guest staying on your site, 4 adults maximum per site and must be checked in Friday, Sept 25 by 11:00PM.
• Water/electric, full hook-up, 50-amp, and premium sites available as well as basic cabins
• Additional guests in party do NOT have to participate in the Microbrew Color Tour and will not be charged the additional $35 if they will not be sampling beer (i.e. if two couples share a cabin but only two people go to the beer tent, the other two guests will not be charged for the package). Each paid participant will receive his or her wristband at check in.  ID is required.
• Late check-out (2:00 PM) available on Sunday, September 28
• Bring your bikes and hiking shoes! Timber Ridge has miles of wooded trails, so enjoy the vibrant colors of autumn...
